Designated as a High Performing Charter School, by the Florida Department of Education 2014 - In Monroe County, seven out of eleven schools (High school grades pending until the fall) received an “A” rating (Big Pine Charter Academy, Key Largo School, Key West Montessori Charter, Plantation Key School, Sigsbee Charter, Stanley Switlik Elementary, and Treasure Village Montessori), two received a “B” rating (Poinciana Elementary and Sugarloaf School), and two received a “C” (Gerald Adams Elementary and Horace O’Bryant School).

  " Take Dads to School" at Big Pine Academy

At Big Pine Academy, lots of dads spent a few hours on campus learning about Florida Standards and participating in classroom instruction. Dads spent time in classes, outside participating in PE and working in the garden. Over 90% of BPA dads participated in this event!
